Hailing from her acclaimed international tours, singer-pianist Sarah Lancman from Paris joins hands with Joyce Cheung, one of the most promising jazz pianists from Hong Kong, to share fascinating insights and approaches to jazz keyboard performance. Despite their background in classical piano, they have developed a unique style and strategy to engage in jazz performances. In this event, they will demonstrate and discuss similarities and variations, through selected classical works and jazz standards, in building up performance techniques as well as structuring harmonies in the spectrum of keyboard accompaniment. This event appeals not only to keyboard performers, but also those who are looking to uncover the secrets of singing and playing at the same time.
