Online Series: A chat with Hong Kong – based French Artists -  

Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze and Elsa Jeandedieu

Over the years, many artists from France have chosen to travel to Hong Kong to develop their careers in art, and some have even decided to settle here. Two Hong Kong-based French artists, Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze and Elsa Jeandedieu, explain in this video how Hong Kong has influenced their artistic directions and inspired them to create works that reflect lives in this city.

A photographer from France who has been living in Hong Kong since 2009, Romain explores daily life and the urban landscape of Hong Kong through his artwork and excels at capturing its essence from unusual and extraordinary angles, encouraging viewers to discover the beauty in different aspects of the city. 

Elsa, who moved to Hong Kong in 2008, is a remarkable French muralist and visual artist with a studio in Hong Kong and has a wealth of experience in working with high-profile clients. With her unique texture art techniques and inspirations deriving from sources like the diverse landscape of Hong Kong, she is renowned for her adventurous works that embodies elemental forces and energy.
